I’m one of those people that actually carries a water bottle with me everywhere I go, but I always find this time of the year hard to keep up the intake - weather colder, not as active, on top of it the gyms are closed.
💦 Our bodies are made up of over 70% water.
💧 Our brains alone are 75% water whilst our blood is 83%.
💦 Water should always be drank at room temperature, as colder water actually slows down your metabolism. If you drink Ice cold water when your body temperature is high, it can put your body into shock and quite possibly into a hypothermic state. (This actually happened me in Dublin airport 2 years ago, (not as intense as a hypothermic state) I was catching an early morning flight, and trying to finish my drink before getting on the plane, I was up all night, so when my body should of been resting, I was over hydrating and eating, then when I downed a cold bottle of water before queuing for the plane, I ended up cramping in pains and an unreal headache for a few moments.)
💧 If you drink out of plastic bottles, there is a number on the bottom of the bottle which states how many times the bottle can be reused, after this time the chemicals in the bottle start to break down into your water and when you drink it, enters your bloodstream and body.
💦 You should never drink water from a plastic bottle that is exposed to heat, (such as in your car on a hot day) as the heat is warming up the bottle, breaking down all the chemicals and particles into your water.
💧 People are always on about losing weight and going on diets but the majority of them don’t drink enough water, which helps you lose weight.
💦 If you are going to use Cordial in your water, only use the smallest drop to colour the water. Believe it or not,
it turns your water into a mineral and does not hydrate you. I put someone to the following test before, compare the colour of your urine after drinking a pint of water then after drinking a pint of Cordial, now the person does not drink cordial anymore.
💧 Contrary to popular belief, Tea and coffee actually dehydrate you.
💦 People often have this illusion that drinking any form of liquid like alcohol and soft drinks hydrate you, quite simply it doesn’t.
💧 It is also scientifically proven that full moons have an effect on the oceans, so it also have an effect on all living beings as well. 🌕
